by admin477351

Kazakhstan and Germany have committed to enhancing their economic collaboration, focusing on investment, infrastructure, industry, and transportation. This agreement was forged during discussions held in Berlin on September 29 between Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, where they examined the future of bilateral relations.

President Tokayev emphasized Germany’s role as Kazakhstan’s key strategic partner in Europe, reflecting on the significant progress made over the past 30 years. Central to these discussions was Tokayev’s proposal to create a Kazakhstan-Germany Investment and Financial Platform, aimed at supporting joint ventures and facilitating investment between the two nations.

Further talks with German business leaders highlighted potential areas of cooperation, including the transport and logistics sectors, industrial localization, engineering, metallurgy, and waste processing. The development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route and the modernization of Kazakhstan’s railway infrastructure were specific projects discussed to boost manufacturing capabilities within Kazakhstan.

The discussions also explored avenues for German companies to engage in Kazakhstan’s industrial and infrastructure projects, granting them broader access to the Central Asian market. This move could potentially open new economic opportunities for both countries, reinforcing their partnership in a rapidly evolving global landscape.
